10U Softball
10U softball division is for players league ages 9 and 10 (as of August 31, 2023). This division is player pitch only with continued focus on the development of fundamentals at a higher level and fun.
10U teams will participate in USA Softball 10U games with nearby leagues.
Teams will generally practice 1 time per week and play 1 or 2 games per week, on the weekend and/or midweek.
There will also be clinic opportunities such as weekly pitching clinics for players to attend.
West LA may have a spring “Select” team and will field a summer All Star team in the 10U division.
What is the Select Program?
Select is a USA Softball program that provides an opportunity for advanced players in each age group to participate in more competitive play. Select involves one extra activity per week, typically a game against a competitive team.
Select teams will be chosen through evaluations or an additional tryout. There may be additional costs involved with Select play. Placement on a Select team does not mean the player (or coach) will be selected to a summer all-stars team.
Spring Select is from January through March only.
